Ms. Tone relocated to the Bayfield area in 2002.  Prior to relocating to the Four Corners area in 2002, Ms. Tone was a partner in the law firm of Latham & Watkins LLP in Los Angeles, California, specializing in the entitlement and development of major land use projects. 

Ms. Tone is an active member of the Colorado Bar Associations, the Southwestern Bar Association, and the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce.  She is an inactive member of the California Bar Association.  She is also Vice President and a founding member of the Bayfield Music Association (BAM), a booster club supporting the band, choir and other musical programs in the local schools.
